Skiing
Deer
Valley Resort revolutionized the ski industry in 1981 by providing
the attentive service, gourmet food and luxury accommodations
one would experience at a fine hotel. Deer Valley was honored
in 2001 by being named the #1 ski resort in North America by the
readers of SKI magazine, and we proudly hosted the 2002 Olympic
Winter Games slalom, aerial and mogul events. Exceptional customer
service, consistent quality and attention to every detail are
all part of the Deer Valley experience. And our four mountains,
offering a wide variety of terrain, allow guests more than ample
opportunity to indulge in our annual 300 inches of light, dry
Utah powder.
Summer
Deer
Valley Resort has offered chairlift-accessed hiking, mountain
biking and scenic rides since 1992 from the mid-mountain Sterling
chairlift. This year, the Resort will also be running the Silver
Lake Express chairlift from the Snow Park base area, which will
transfer to the Sterling chairlift at the Resort's mid-mountain
area, allowing guests the chance to ride from 7,200 to 9,400 feet,
all on scenic chairlifts. In addition, the Resort's summer lifts
will now run seven days a week beginning June 16 through Labor
Day and then weekends only in September through the 18th.
Deer
Valley's chairlifts provide access to over 50 miles of mountain
biking trails as well as 20 miles of hiking trails and an overlook
point with sweeping hundred-mile views. The ¼-mile Scenic
Overlook loop on Bald Mountain allows walkers the chance to take
in the vistas of mountain peaks and boats leaving crisscrossing
white wakes in the sparkling Jordanelle Reservoir below. The same
white glove service Deer Valley is known for during the winter
ski season is applied to the summer mountain biking, hiking and
scenic chairlift ride program, with the Resort offering an all-inclusive
operation including mountain bike rentals, instruction and guided
tours.
